The partners of PwC East Caribbean are pleased to announce the appointment of their new partners and director, effective 1 July 2023. They'd like to introduce the following to their customers and the business community in Barbados:

Sophia Weekes, Tax Partner

Sophia has over 20 years professional experience within PwC East Caribbean. She has a strong background providing tax compliance and advisory services to major local and international companies.

Sophia is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and a member of the Institute of Certified Accountants of Barbados.

Tonya Graham, Assurance Partner

Tonya has led the PwC East Caribbean St Lucia office since relocating there in 2016 to establish the firm's presence. She has over 20 years professional experience at PwC East Caribbean, where she joined the Barbados office in 2002. Tonya has served clients across many industries and specialises in the financial services industry with clients in both the banking and insurance sectors.

Tonya is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Barbados and the East Caribbean.

Malcolm Paul, Assurance Partner

Malcolm has over 17 years professional experience, and joined the PwC East Caribbean firm in 2017. He has a strong background in the provision of audit, tax and audit-related services. He has extensive experience in external audit in a wide range of industries with a focus on insurance since joining the firm.

Malcolm is an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK (ACMA) and also holds the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) certification. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Barbados (CA) and a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners of USA (CFE).

Ricardo Griffith, Assurance Director

Ricardo joined the firm in 2004, working within the assurance division. He currently specialises in the consumer and industrial products and services sectors. He provides services to a number of local and regional clients. Ricardo has gained experience in providing audit services to a wide spectrum of clients including retail and distribution, entertainment and media, pensions, government agencies, insurance brokers and the coordination of group audits and consolidations.

Ricardo is a certified Public Accountant (CPA).
