One of Barbados' leading law firms has rebranded as CGF, unveiling a sleek new logo, a cutting-edge website, and the innovative “.law” domain.
The rebrand, a significant milestone since the 2002 merger of Clarke & Co. and Gittens & Farmer, showcases CGF’s legal talent and positions the firm for continued leadership in the Caribbean.
The brand launch also introduces CGF Advisory Services Ltd, a stand-alone unit which will bring practical advisory and process-management services to clients in the areas of human resources management, industrial relations, regulatory compliance and insolvency.
In talking about the reasons for the change, CGF’s Managing Partner, Ramon O. Alleyne, SC, elaborated:
“This is probably the most significant change made to our brand since the merger in 2002 of, Clarke & Co. and the practices of David Gittens and Stephen Farmer.
In essence, it skillfully combines the spirit of our founding partners, with the energy and vitality of our current cadre - in excess of twenty-five seasoned and highly capable lawyers - ably backed by some of the most experienced and dedicated staff to be found across the Caribbean.
This business is one conducted by people for people, and our new brand opens up the future for those currently spearheading the renaissance of the firm, and for the future generations of Barbadian attorneys who will build meaningful legal careers within the firm.
We are the strongest team and widest one-stop practice in Barbados, bar none.
This new branding builds on that fundamental truth and positions us to stay that way indefinitely.”
Savitri St. John, the Partner spearheading the rebrand, detailed the many aspects of the relaunch:
“A complete focus was brought to all aspects of our brand including an in-depth analysis of our business and our relationship with our clients.
This identified that Law is not really about the law, it is about people interacting with other people for the betterment of our society. From here everything stems…our new brand proposition…our new website “www.CGF.law”, which proudly features our people active in their pursuit of our clients’ best interests…our new logo…our signage…our stationery.
Finally, we have invited key clients and special guests to a launch to highlight what this means for the future of the firm. This is not just a new logo or website; this is an opening up of the firm for the benefit of all current and future staffers… and for our clients.
We most of all recognise that a firm, no matter how good, cannot rest on its laurels and must always be looking to its future.”
Stephen Farmer, SC, a Founding Partner, added the following remarks:
“I am proud of what Ramon, Savitri and the team have achieved with this relaunch. This firm really has a team to reckon with and I believe this is recognized and appreciated by our clients. I feel the trust the Founding Partners put in this, the next generation of legal leaders, has been amply repaid, and our firm is poised to not only continue its leadership but to grow that leadership within Barbados and across the wider Caribbean.”
