The GloBE Information Return to be filed by in-scope multinational firms across the world has now been released, with Barbados expected to open its filing portal next month.

In light of these developments, BIBA, The Association for Global Business, in collaboration with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Barbados (ICAB) and the Barbados Revenue Authority (BRA), will be hosting a Top-Up Tax Information Session on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at the Hilton Barbados Resort from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

This session will provide practical insights into the Global Minimum Tax framework, including:

• The scope of Top-Up Tax
• Excluded entities
• Filing requirements and registration considerations
• Calculation of GloBE income and covered taxes
• Effective tax rate computations
• Practical examples illustrating the application of Top-Up Tax rules
