Digicel Business, the region’s leading full service business solutions partner, is enabling customers to stay connected and ahead of the game with its broadband service delivered over Digicel’s reliable WiMAX network.

Martin Keogh, Digicel Business’s Regional Business Solutions Director for the Eastern Caribbean South, said: “Our broadband services allow our customers to access high speed internet with the reliability and security needed to support both business and residential needs.

“We know that in this global environment staying connected is paramount to our customers and we ensure we always meet and exceed their service expectations.” Keogh added.

Horace Lashley, ICT Officer at UNICEF and one of Digicel Business’ many satisfied customers, outlined a number of reasons why he is happy with the service: “I was pleased with how quickly they were able to install the service, but most importantly I must commend Digicel on its level of after sales customer service which has been excellent and responsive.”

Digicel’s broadband service provides customers with guaranteed levels of bandwidth, thus ensuring that customers receive the speeds for which they have subscribed.

The broadband service is delivered wirelessly over a fixed point to point system where a small antenna is placed on the roof of a home or business and points directly to one of Digicel’s Towers. This wireless method of delivery ensures that connectivity is constant and uninterrupted, unlike that in the case of other traditional and commonly used methods, such as wired poles, which are also prone to damage during the inclement weather that is common during the annual hurricane season.

Keogh indicated that Digicel Business is currently expanding its network to meet the growing demand of business and residential customers:  “Through this we will be adding to those customers which we currently serve from the North of the island, along and West and South coasts, with the most recently expansion being in St. Philip, with service now being supplied from the Six Roads area.”
