Six Scotiabank credit card customers reaped the benefits of buying locally during last November’s Independence season.
In its drive to support local business, Scotiabank initiated an Independence Campaign offering cardholders the opportunity to win one of five cash prizes or a grand prize of a Staycation at the Crane Resort. Every local purchase made using a Scotiabank credit card during the month of November made cardholders eligible to win one of the six offered prizes.
During the presentation to the winners at Scotiabank’s Managing Director’s office last week, Lisa Cole, Senior Marketing Manager, stated that there was no better way to celebrate the Independence season than by using a campaign that targets and stimulates local business by encouraging local purchasing.
The five cash prize winners were very excited about receiving their winning cheques of $470.00 each to celebrate Barbados’ 47th year of Independence. Mr. Joel Barrow was overjoyed when he realized that he was the Grand Prize winner of a 2-night Staycation in a one-bedroom suite at the Crane Resort and $750.00 in spending money!
