The Small Business Association and The Barbados Entrepreneurship Foundation are collaborating to deliver a financed focused forum on October 29th, 6-8 pm at the Plantation Garden Theatre. The featured presenter Phil Walker is Barbadian by birth, but spent most of his adult life living in the UK.
Phil is Managing Partner of Restoration Summerswood, an independent boutique merchant bank offering a rare combination of hands on corporate strategy and finance advice to the Consulting Sector.It has a highly experienced advisory team with deep industry insight and an expansive network that is providing serious wealth for its clients. Prior to Restoration Summerswood, Phil was Chief Operating Officer for Capgemini Consulting with responsibility for six consulting practises, 600 staff and a £100Mill+ turnover.
While on island, Phil will also be taking part in a round table discussion with a focus group comprising of local entrepreneurs from the SBA, BYBT and Gramstep. Colin Daniel, champion of the BEF’s finance pillar comments that “it is an honor for the BEF to be given this opportunity in association with its strategic partner SBA to present an outstanding member of the Diaspora to the local entrepreneurial community”. This is the first such collaboration between the BEF and the SBA. Lynette Holder, CEO of the Small Business Association commented that “the SBA has a long tradition of Strategic Alliances and welcomes the collaboration with BEF, particularly since such an initiative will redound to the benefit of local small and medium enterprises.”
The forum’s topic is “Economies for the future” Exploring the financing needs of the future. This takes place on October 29th, 6-8 pm at the Plantation Garden Theatre, St. Lawrence main road. Admission for this forum is FREE.
