About the speaker:
Wayne C. Forde is the Commissioner of Land Tax for the Land Tax Department of Barbados. He has served in this role since 2005. He is responsible for the formulation and direction of government policy relating to valuation and appraisal of properties. He is also the government advisor on all land and property related matters. Mr. Forde has an MSc in Urban Land Appraisal from the University of Reading and has a BSc in Economics from the University of West Indies, Barbados. He is a member of the Institute of Revenues, Ratings and valuations (IRRV) from the United Kingdom, a member of the Barbados Association of Professional Valuers (BAPV), a member of the International property Tax Institute (IPTI), and a member of the International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO).
