Magna Rewards, the premier loyalty card in Barbados, joined with two of its partners, Digicel and Cave Shepherd Card Services to harness the power of the social media giant Facebook. The three businesses used the recently concluded “Magna-fy your Summer” Facebook promotion, to reach their diverse target markets, and received exceptional responses on the social media platform.
The Facebook promotion, which began July 19, 2012 and ended on Aug 16, 2012, encouraged fans of the Magna Facebook page to enter to win weekly prizes of Magna gift vouchers, Digicel mobile credit, Cave Shepherd Card credit and a chance for the grand prize of a Nokia Smartphone.
Magna partners, Digicel and Cave Shepherd Card Services, took advantage of Magna’s four thousand plus Facebook fan base, to reach a wider demographic and reinforce their respective brands. According to Gaylene Romeo, Country Manager of Magna Rewards strategic partnerships like the Magna, Digicel and Cave Shepherd Card collaboration allows Magna partners to benefit from the extended reach of the Magna brand and the positive relationship Magna Rewards Barbados has forged with its customers.
Magna’s Facebook page had seen continued growth since its launch, with fans using the page to participate in promotions, apply for Magna cards and communicate directly with the Magna brand. Representative from Digicel and Cave Shepherd Card services were pleased at the response to the promotion and indicated that they are looking forward to partnering with the Magna brand once more.
