Big Four firm opens expanded office space to better serve the country and the region.
Following a decade of continuous growth in the Barbados market, KPMG has reinforced its commitment to the Barbadian economy, community and business environment by expanding its presence in its iconic Hastings location.
For the employees and clients of KPMG in Barbados, the office expansion symbolises the firm’s strong growth over the past decade. Just in 2015, the firm added three new Partners, expanding the organisation’s capabilities and capacity across its Audit, Tax and Advisory service areas.
The newly redesigned and renovated space incorporates state-of-the-art technology and collaboration tools to help the firm’s clients and employees take advantage of new technologies and global approaches. It also allows the firm to accommodate even more employees, clients and partners as the organisation continues its growth trajectory in Barbados. The investment into the new office space reflects the important role that KPMG in Barbados plays in the business community, the region and in the KPMG global network.
“Our Barbados member firm has always been one of the cornerstones of our regional network and has played an important role in driving growth across the region, both for our firm and for our clients. This investment really reflects our view that Barbados will be a key driver of growth over the coming decade.”
Expanding Footprint and Impact
The firm is also working to expand its impact and its footprint in the business and local community. The firm’s employees and professionals are deeply committed to their local communities and can be found ‘pitching in’ on a wide variety of local causes and events from the recent Christmas on the Boardwalk event held by the St. Matthias Community Association through to environmentally and socially conscious activities such as beach clean-ups and Rotary Barbados events.
According to KPMG in Barbados Managing Partner Carol Nicholls, the firm’s deep-rooted history in Barbados inspires its employees to go above and beyond to improve the business and local communities.
“As Barbados celebrates its 50th year of Independence, KPMG is also celebrating the impact we have had on the community around us. Indeed, our history in Barbados stretches almost as long – firms that would eventually become KPMG were founded here in 1969. And since that date, our Partners, staff and professionals have continued a proud history of investing in the Barbados economy and its communities,”
