Development of the Barbados’ Best Employers (BBE) Award Programme
In 2010 Caribbean Catalyst Inc. (CCI) pioneered the recognition of organisations operating in Barbados with exemplary human resources practices and programmes. The programme seeks to publicly acknowledge employers who provide work environments which are conducive to high productivity and who support positive employer/employee relations.
Building on our inaugural programme which included a management interview and a staff survey, in 2012 we incorporated additional elements in the survey to assess Employee Engagement. In 2014 we added a Leadership Effectiveness Indicator and in 2016 we incorporated additional elements focused on the established drivers of productivity. We continue to ensure that the process is dynamic and relevant. In keeping with the BBE 2018 theme of Unleashing the Power of Motivation – A Predictor of Success!, we have included descriptors that seek to assess an individual’s level of personal accountability.
The Barbados’ Best Employers (BBE) Award Programme 2018 was launched by Caribbean Catalyst Inc. on January 30, 2018 at the Savannah Hotel.
The launch of BBE, by way of a press conference, was attended by participants from the previous BBE 2010, 2012, 2014 and 2016 programmes.
