The BIBA Charity is continuing its mission to improve public healthcare in Barbados and will be hosting a fund-raising cocktail on Thursday, April 7th, 2016, to help purchase much-needed equipment for the Eunice Gibson Polyclinic in Warrens.
Entitled “An Evening with The Masters“, the fundraiser will see offerings from 16 of our talented local artists: Hilary Armstrong, David Alleyne, Fielding Babb, Sandy Layne, Maggie Bell, Heidi Berger, Virgil Broodhagen, Jeena Chatrani, Mario Porchetta, Lorna Wilson, Catherine Forter Chee-a-tow, Neville Legall, Everick Linton, Rupert Piggott, Corrie Scott and Heather Dawn Scott.
“The BIBA Charity has launched this fund-raising appeal, to assist the polyclinic in providing the very best facilities and equipment to patients across Barbados,” says coördinator of the event and BIBA Charity trustee Louisa Lewis-Ward.
Established in 2010, the BIBA Charity provides an avenue through which the international business community can contribute to the social welfare of Barbados.
“All proceeds from the event will go towards the BIBA Charity Eunice Gibson Polyclinic Warrens Appeal,” says Lewis-Ward. “The artists will also be present to discuss their work and have graciously pledged 30% of all sales to this worthy venture”.
The BIBA Charity aims to raise over $82,000 in order to purchase the highly requested medical equipment, which includes items such as vital signs monitors, exam tables and an operating dental chair.
